Panilonco Cab from Chile

Panilonco Cabernet Sauvignon

December 31, 2012 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

Panilonco Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representation of the wine upon which Chile's wine industry hangs its hat. Its deep red hue reveals ripe red berries, blackberries, plums and black pepper on the palate. The mouth feel is full and supple, with velvety tannins and a long, round aftertaste. It's a big wine at the very small price of $4.99* a bottle. If you've been bemoaning the dearth of affordable, available California Cabernets, Panilonco Cabernet Sauvignon is a must-try.

*Panilonco Cabernet Sauvignon is currently available in Trader Joe's stores where wine is sold. It is $4.99 unless otherwise noted here: CA, AZ: $3.99; OR, WA, NV, TX: $4.49; NH: $5.49; and OH: $5.99. Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff. (If we could, we would.)
