Dulcinea Heirloom Tuscan Melon

A common melon in Italy and throughout Europe, these Tuscan Melons have only been grown in the U.S. for about seven years. In that short time, though, they’ve become a big favorite here at Trader Joe’s, because of both their unique appearance and super-sweet flavor. That flavor is the result of a slow, carefully monitored growing cycle that lasts three months – this variety takes time to develop its signature outward grooves as well as its brilliant orange flesh and distinctive aroma & sweetness. Dulcinea Heirloom Tuscan Melons are excellent in summertime salads (both green and fruit-centered), super for snacking and gloriously gratifying on the grill. We’re selling them for the equally glorious price of $3.49* each, a tremendous value for these terrific melons.
