Grass Fed Swiss Cheese From New Zealand

This Swiss Cheese is crafted from the rich, creamy milk of cows that graze in the lush foothills of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. The plentiful rye grass and clover on which the cows feast gives their milk – and this cheese – a unique, sweet, nutty flavor. It’s definitely a Swiss, yet with slightly richer flavor. It has smaller, much less prevalent eyes than most Swiss cheese, a trait the cheesemakers attribute to the higher ash content of the region’s fertile, dark, volcanic soil. This Grass Fed Swiss comes with something else that’s smaller than you might expect – the price. We’re selling it for $5.49 a pound, a terrific value for Grass Fed cheese of this quality.
