Fresh Soups - Southeast

Lobster Bisque, Crab & Corn Chowder, Tomato Basil Soup

February 6, 2012 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

Who doesn't love soup? Especially in the dead of winter. Like now. We've made the creation of fresh soups a priority recently, because there's nothing like a piping hot bowl of fresh, hearty soup to warm you inside when it's cold outside. From that priority some pretty darn delicious soups have been born, among them Trader Joe's Lobster Bisque, Trader Joe's Maryland Crab & Corn Chowder and Trader Joe's Tomato Bisque with Fresh Basil.

These aren't just any old soups. These are next-best-thing-to-homemade soups made with the same care and, dare we say it, love, that you'd use if you made them from scratch in your own kitchen.  And our soups are even better in one very important area: time. Yes, ours are fully cooked, ready to heat in just a couple of minutes in your microwave or on the stovetop. Lobster Bisque is a classic creamy bisque, with big lobster flavor in every bite. Maryland Crab & Corn Chowder is rich and creamy, loaded with chunks of blue crab and seasoned with Madeira wine. Tomato Bisque with Fresh Basil is a thick, creamy, traditional bisque that gets a fresh flavor boost from the addition of fresh basil.

All of these fresh-from-the-kitchen soups come in 12 ounce containers, the perfect single serving size. Lobster Bisque is $3.29, Crab & Corn Chowder is $2.99 and Tomato Bisque with Fresh Basil is $2.49, every day. You'll find them in our refrigerated case*.

*At this time, these soups are only available in the Southeast region.
