Roasted No Salt Hazelnuts

Roasted No Salt Hazelnuts

Hazelnuts may just be the most aptly named nut: they are the nuts of the hazel plant. But they do go by another name: filberts. Either name is correct, but we’ve decided to use hazelnuts. Our Hazelnuts come from Oregon, and Oregon knows a thing or two about hazelnuts. It’s not only the official state nut, but its cultivation occurs across 60,000 acres in the state. Hazelnuts from Oregon are known to have a bright, slightly sweet flavor profile and a long shelf life, all attributes that have warmed us to these roundish little nuts.

Shelling hazelnuts is a very tedious task – one we’ve done for you. We’ve also done the roasting – dry roasted without salt – meaning these nuts are a blank slate and ready for any task you throw their way: cookies, cakes, pastries, stuffings, pestos, tarts, pork. Heck, add a little salt and eat ‘em by the handful. The best hazelnut fact of all?  Our value. We’ve recently lowered the price on our Roasted No Salt Hazelnuts to $6.99 for a 16 ounce bag.
