Cornbread Crisps

Cornbread Crisps

November 6th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

If you’re a fan of Trader Joe’s Cornbread Mix, you’ll recognize the packaging for our new Cornbread Crisps right away. We borrowed from our Mix box to create the artwork for the Crisps, because we think cornbread lovers will want to know just how cornbread-like these crackers really are.

Our supplier makes Trader Joe’s Cornbread Crisps using a from-scratch cornbread recipe. The bread is baked, pressed thin, then baked again. The Crisps are diamond-shaped, crunchy crackers that taste just like cornbread – because they are cornbread. Open the bag and you’re likely to do a double-take. How can there be freshly baked cornbread in a bag of chips? Yes, that’s just how much like cornbread these Crisps are. Their flavor and color comes from yellow corn; their texture is a bit airier than a pita chip. Enjoy them as a snack straight out of the bag, serve with creamy dips, crumble on salads, enjoy with a bowl of soup or, of course, chili. Sweet & salty & undeniably corny, kosher Cornbread Crisps could create a new cracker craze! We’re selling each six ounce bag for $2.49, every day.
