Fall Harvest Salsa
November 6th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
Maine may not be the first place you think of when contemplating salsa, but it definitely has the “fall harvest” vibe going for it. With that in mind, if you were to imagine a storybook beginning for a product called Fall Harvest Salsa, wouldn’t this be the perfect place? It would, and in fact, it is. Trader Joe’s Fall Harvest Salsa is made exclusively for Trader Joe’s in the 23rd state. Our supplier, a saucy stalwart since the 19th century, has perfected a recipe that begins with heirloom variety pumpkins and includes butternut squash and apples, yet is absolutely a salsa in every important way.
Fall Harvest Salsa is tomato-based, with fire-roasted tomatillos, red bell peppers, jalapeños, and lime juice, giving it a traditional salsa profile that marries harmoniously with its harvest-centered elements. It’s excellent for dipping all kinds of chips – it’s a real hit with our Pumpkin Tortilla Chips or our Pumpkin Soup Crackers – and a sweet-spicy companion to everything from burritos and tacos to scrambled eggs and cheeseburgers. It’s also only around for Pumpkin Season (aka Fall Harvest Season), so we recommend grabbing a few jars soon to last you until next year’s Harvest. We’re selling each 12 ounce jar for $2.99. You’ll find it in the salsa section, only at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s.
