Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce and Zucchette Pasta

Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce and Zucchette Pasta

November 6th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce is a tomato-based sauce packed with seasonal “extras.” Pumpkin, butternut squash, and carrots add sweetness and thicken the sauce; a touch of cream makes it richer; and herbs and spices like rosemary and sage lend a savory finish. We recommend Autumnal Harvest as a suitable substitute for any other tomato-based sauce for pasta dishes, a variation on chicken Parmesan, or for dipping. What pasta is best? Of course, that’s a very personal question, but if pressed, this year we’re going with the same option we recommended in 2016 – Fall Zucchette Pasta, a pumpkin shaped pasta that derives its orange hue from butternut squash (a pumpkin cousin). The individual pieces of pasta are small enough that you can fit a few on a fork or spoon, and their shape makes it easy for them to hold onto sauces. (It also makes them rather adorable.) Our Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce is definitely worthy of holding.

We’re selling each 25 ounce jar of Trader Joe’s Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce for $3.49, and each 14 ounce package of Fall Zucchette Pasta for $1.99. You’ll find them in our grocery aisle, while supplies last.
