Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat’s Milk Cheese
November 6th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
For cheerers of chèvre, Trader Joe’s cheese case is a discovery zone. Some finds are forever (or as “forever” as we can commit to, given our penchant for new things), and some fleeting. One thing is certain; we are constantly searching for something innovative, something delicious, and something that represents a terrific value – we call BINGO when all of those things happen simultaneously. And so, for 2017, we present Trader Joe’s Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat’s Milk Cheese.
This is a classic chèvre log, made by a longtime supplier in Wisconsin, using fresh, locally-sourced goat’s milk. Each log is rolled in colorful, flavorful dried fruits – apricots, cherries, and cranberries. The vibrant red and orange of the fruit is what you see. Cut into the log to uncover the creamy white cheese within. Sliced into rounds and served on crackers, this cheese makes a bold visual impact. We can assure you that its impact is just as bold on your palate. Where you won’t see much of an impact is on your budget. We’re selling each eight ounce piece of Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat’s Milk Cheese for $3.99, throughout the early fall. We’ve only ordered enough to get us through October, so if it sounds good to you, pick it up while you can. It’s in our discovery zone, er, cheese case.
