Loma Negra Rosé

June 5th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

California is famous for its Central Valley, home to some of the world’s richest soils, known for its prodigious agricultural production. The nation of Chile also has a robust Central Valley, known there as Valle Central, and home to some of Chile’s best wines. Our wine buyer was introduced to a number of these wines on a recent sub-equatorial sojourn, including Loma Negra Rosé, whose viticultural lineage leads to high altitude vineyards looking out over the majestic peaks of the Andes.

Loma Negra Rosé comes to us from one of Chile’s most respected winemaking families. They combine age-old winemaking techniques with modern technologies, crafting wines that are regularly awarded for their quality. Here, they’ve combined Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%) to make an award-winning, soft pink Rosé with intense red fruit aromas that invite you to enjoy flavors of freshly picked berries and plums. On the palate, Loma Negra Rosé is well balanced and easy, finishing long and crisp and refreshing. Pair this one with salads, grilled shrimp or chicken, fresh berries with cream, and good conversation. We’re selling each 750ml bottle for $4.99*, a bright, fresh value you’ll find only at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s.

*Loma Negra Chilean Rose is currently available in Trader Joe’s stores where wine is sold. It is $4.99 plus tax unless otherwise noted here: OR, WA, NM, LA, KY, NH, GA, TN, AL: $5.99; OH: $6.49. Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff.
