Kidia Sauvignon Blanc

Kidia Sauvignon Blanc

June 5th, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Recent visits to the Chilean wine country have left our wine buyers astonished at both the quality of the wines on offer, as well as the comparatively low costs for those wines. One of our recent favorites is a Sauvignon Blanc called Kidia. This refreshing white comes from a winemaking family that’s been in the business for eight generations, since the early days of the 19th century. They brought European varietals with them from Spain, settling in the Maule region, in the Loncomilla Valley. Kidia Sauvignon Blanc is a lively, fresh-drinking wine, bursting with aromas and flavors of green apple, lime, and even subtle hints of jalapeño, leading to a crisp, mineral finish. Light in the glass, this is an excellent sipping wine, good to keep on hand as summer approaches, delightful with or without a meal. Simple crackers, Triple Créme Brie, and a glass of Kidia Sauvignon Blanc? Count us in.

We’re selling each 750ml bottle for $5.99*, a price that really does belie the quality of what’s in the bottle.

*Kidia Chilean Sauvignon Blanc is currently available in Trader Joe's stores where wine is sold. It is $5.99 plus tax unless otherwise noted here: OH: $7.49. Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff.
