Organic Broccoli Florets

Organic Broccoli Florets

March 20, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Though broccoli has been grown and eaten for as many as 8,000 years, it wasn’t until the mid 1920s that it was first cultivated for commercial sale in the United States. Since that time, this cruciferous veg has become a favorite, and the United States has become the world’s third largest broccoli-growing nation.

What if this great-tasting, good-for-you food required almost no work on your part? You’d probably eat even more of it, right? Check this out. We have pre-washed, pre-cut Organic Broccoli Florets in our freezer case that are trimmed, washed, and ready to use. Thaw and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a bit of Parmesan cheese, then roast them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.  Toss them in with Kung Pao Tempura Cauliflower (p. 4) to give it some green. Or include them in omelets or stir-frys.

We’re selling each 16 ounce bag of Trader Joe’s Organic Broccoli Florets for $1.99, every day. That’s 70¢ less expensive than they were way back in 2014! You’ll find them in our freezers.
