Trader Joe’s Organic Tahini comes to us from a supplier in Thessaloniki, Greece, using organic sesame seeds from Ethiopia. Tahini is a vital ingredient in the making of hummus – this may be its most common use in American cooking. It also makes an excellent dip for veggies, and a dreamy dressing for salads – you can blend it with some lemon juice to add some tang to the roasty flavors of the Tahini. It’s a tasty way to add even more protein to your Greek yogurt – two tablespoons of Organic Tahini contribute six grams of protein! Spread it on toast or a bagel, with a little honey, for a nice change of pace from butter or preserves. Use it where you’d otherwise use nut butter to change up the flavors of your favorites.
