Fair Trade Organic Colombian Coffee Cups

Fair Trade Organic Colombian Coffee Cups

March 20, 2017—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Back in 2014, we introduced our first Single Serve Coffee Cups, for use with your Keurig® coffee maker. In the three years since, Keurig® machines have evolved. So have our Single Serve Coffee Cups. Where once we offered a single variety on our shelves, we now have a seasonal assortment to go along with our everyday product. And just recently, we’ve introduced an additional everyday product, Trader Joe’s Fair Trade Organic Colombian Single Serve Coffee Cups.

These new Cups are filled with ground coffee from the Red Ecolsierra coffee cooperative in Colombia. This cooperative boasts 500 farming families, all participating in the growing, harvesting, and processing on the Fair Trade-certified, organically-grown beans inside these cups. They grow 100% Arabica beans; more specifically, they cultivate the Typica, Castillo, and Caturra varieties of Arabica. In the cup, this coffee boasts a nutty aroma, with sweet chocolate, honey, and fruity flavors. And of course, brewing that cup couldn’t be easier, especially since these Single Serve Cups are compatible with all Keurig® machines. Yes, all                  Keurig® machines.

They’re also compatible with your frugal side. We’re selling each box of 12 Trader Joe’s Fair Trade Organic Colombian Single Serve Coffee Cups for $4.99. That works out to about 41¢ a cup, for organic, Fair Trade certified coffee. A value, indeed, and one you’ll find only at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s, with our other coffee & teas.
