Raw Pumpkin Seeds

Raw Pumpkin Seeds

November 9, 2015—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

For many of us, cleaning the seeds out of the Halloween pumpkin was a childhood tradition. While that's a Rockwellian memory, we challenge you to get the seeds out of that Halloween gourd as clean, crunchy and delicious as we get these!

Trader Joe's Raw Pumpkin Seeds are harvested from La Pluma variety pumpkins in Mexico and Guatemala. They've been removed from their shells and left in their raw state, ready to eat or roast in your oven if you really want to recreate that Rockwellian imagery. These "hearts" of the pumpkin seeds are often called pepitas, from the Spanish pepita de calabaza, or "little squash seed". Enjoy them right out of the bag, or mix them with other seeds and nuts to create your own trail mix. They're also a crunchy addition to all kinds of salads. Baking pumpkin bread? Toss in some Raw Pumpkin Seeds to add some crunch and boost the pumpkin factor even further. We're selling each 16 ounce bag for $6.49, every day.
