Cod Provençale with Ratatouille & Rice

There are frozen dinners, and then there are frozen dinners. This is a frozen dinner. Allow us to explain the difference.  Trader Joe's Cod Provençale with Ratatouille & Rice begins with a fillet of wild-caught cod.  Most frozen dinners that include fish that's already been cooked & frozen.  When you reheat it, the texture of the fish changes – it's never quite as flaky as you'd like.  Because this is a frozen dinner, though, the fish is raw, so when you cook it, you're heating the fish for the first time, and that means the cod is tender and flaky, just the way you want it.

Our Cod Provençale places that cod fillet atop a bed of nutty, chewy brown & wild rice, and pairs it with a side of traditional French-style ratatouille – slow-simmered chunks of zucchini, eggplant, tomato and onion with select herbs and spices.  This is a satisfying, complete dinner for one, a frozen dinner that defies the stereotype of the frozen dinner.  We're selling each 12.3 ounce package of Trader Joe's Cod Provençale for $3.99 everyday, an excellent price for and exquisite meal.  You'll find it in our freezers.
