Liquid Laundry Detergent

Liquid Laundry Detergent

April 27, 2015—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Some products at Trader Joe's are inherently interesting. In fact, we'll be bold and say that most of our products are inherently interesting. When it comes to laundry detergent, though, "inherently interesting" is likely not the first descriptor that comes to mind. Trader Joe's Liquid Laundry Detergent really is inherently interesting, and not just because it smells good.

Our Liquid Laundry Detergent is made with plant-derived surfactants (cleaning agents), derived from sources like coconut, soy, sugar, and lavender. It's a low-sudsing and free-rinsing formula that doesn't leave any residue on your clothes - that fact alone makes it "inherently interesting" to us. It's also free of phosphates, petro-chemical cleaning agents, and other harsh ingredients, with a balanced pH that's easy on your clothes and your standard or HE washing machine. The readily biodegradable formula is safe for traditional plumbing, as well as septic and gray water systems. And Trader Joe's Liquid Laundry Detergent's subtle lavender scent leaves your clothes smelling fresh and clean, not perfumey.

Perhaps most interesting of all is our price of $9.99 for each 128 ounce bottle of Liquid Laundry Detergent. That's enough for 64 loads of laundry, making the cost-per-load just under 16¢. Inherently interesting, all day long. Laundry anyone?
