Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

March 16, 2015—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Trader Joe's Roasted Brussels Sprouts (tiny cabbage heads, to some) are just that; nutty, tender-but-not-soft Brussels sprouts that have been very lightly seasoned with olive oil, salt, and pepper; then roasted to a firm-yet-delicate consistency. The roasting, at times, even leaves slight char marks on the sprouts' outer leaves-this little bit of char adds a depth of flavor you just can't achieve with steaming or sautéing. Once fully cooked, the sprouts are vacuum packed and shipped to Trader Joe's.

The roasting is done… how do you finish these Sprouts off for serving? You could serve them cold, directly from the package. They're delicious on salads or as a quick side-a bit of balsamic and some diced pancetta couldn't hurt. They can also be warmed up prior to serving. Give them a quick minute or two in the microwave, or a short sauté on the stove for fantasy-fulfilling results, every time. We're selling each 12 ounce package of Roasted Brussels Sprouts for $2.99*, every day.

*Ounces, price and availability may vary by region. Currently Trader Joe's Roasted Brussels Sprouts are $2.99 in our West Coast and Texas stores and $3.29 in our East Coast, Midwest and Southeast stores.
