VINTJS Zinfandel 2012 Lodi Old Vine

October 6, 2014—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Lodi, a small AVA (American Viticultural Area) east of San Francisco, is known for its Zinfandel. Old (here, 30+ years) vines are known to produce fruit with more intense, concentrated flavors. And Trader Joe's is known for producing values that turn your expectations upside down. Put them all together and you have VINTJS Zinfandel Lodi Old Vine.

Our partner in this wine venture is a well-known producer of Zinfandel—a major player in the Lodi wine scene, they produce one of the country’s best-known and best-selling Zinfandels. Here, using grapes from head trained vines that are at least 30 years old, they’ve crafted an excellent example of Lodi Zin: full-bodied, with aromas & concentrated flavors of black currant, blackberry, pepper, and vanilla. Firm tannins and a long, elegant finish accompany the signature fruit & spice. Enjoy a glass of VINTJS Zinfandel Lodi Old Vine with our Creamy Toscano Cheese Dusted with Cinnamon or our Cabernet Pot Roast. And enjoy our price of $7.99* a bottle, a value you'll find only at your neighborhood Trader Joe's.

* VINTJS Zinfandel Lodi Old Vine is currently available in Trader Joe's stores where wine is sold. It is $7.99 plus tax unless otherwise noted here: NH, GA, FL: $8.99. Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff. (If we could, we would.)
