Peanut Butter with Flax & Chia Seeds

Excellent Source of Omega-3!
In the beginning, nature produced peanuts, loaded with protein and "good" fats. Then, in a stroke of as-yet-unmatched genius, humankind decided that grinding said peanuts into a butter was a smart thing to do. How on Earth could we possibly top that? Alas, we cannot. We can, however, attempt to improve upon it. And we believe we have, with Trader Joe's Crunchy Salted Peanut Butter with Flax & Chia Seeds.
We start with peanuts grown in the southern United States; Flax from Saskatchewan, Canada; and Chia from Ecuador and Mexico. The peanuts are roasted and ground to a crunchy butter, then the flax and chia seeds are mixed in for extra crunch. That crunch is important, but there's more to this story. Those seeds up the "good" fats here as well. Between the nuts and the seeds, each two tablespoon serving provides 320mg of ALA (Alpha-lineolenic acid) Omega-3 fatty acids. Good stuff, indeed. And a good price, too. We're selling each 16 ounce jar for $2.99, every day.
