Apples Get Sauced!

Most applesauce is made by steaming the apples or boiling them in water. Not ours. Our supplier simply crushes whole apples, strains out the skins and seeds and cooks them just long enough to bring out the best of the naturally sweet flavor. They use fresh, organic apples grown in the western United States, and they make the applesauce in small batches so they can ensure fresh-tasting and consistently excellent sauce. The apples, a carefully selected blend of Golden Delicious, Gala, Honeycrisp, and Red Delicious, are as much as 25% sweeter than those used to make most applesauce, so there's never a need to add sugar. When nature supplies you with apples this sweet, adding anything to alter that flavor just doesn't make any sense.

That great sauce is packed for us in four-packs of four ounce cups, convenient for eating on the go, packing into lunchboxes, backpacks, or desk drawers. We’re selling Trader Joe's Organic Applesauce Cups for the sweet price of $1.99, the same price we've had for more than six years.  You'll find them in our grocery aisle.
