Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

October 6, 2014—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Last year, we introduced Trader Joe's Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins to our bakery section.  They were born of our immense love of pumpkin (perhaps you'd noticed that?) and our ongoing quest to make breakfast more interesting, and they succeeded in bringing pumpkin goodness to the morning table and beyond. Similar in density and texture to a carrot cake muffin, here the carrot element is replaced with real pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices—by now we’ll assume this kind of treatment from us during Pumpkin Season is anything but surprising.

We partnered with a baker well-versed in both the art of muffins and the science of yummy fillings, so the smooth, creamy cream cheese filling was a natural match. Moist texture, sweet & savory flavors, and a tart-sweet-tangy center? Yes, this is breakfast food at its most interesting, and also easily enjoyed as an afternoon snack or after dinner dessert. Despite rising costs throughout the food world, we've been able to hold on to our 2013 price of $3.99 for each package of four Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins, significantly less than you'll pay for muffins of similar quality & style elsewhere. You'll find them in our bakery section.
