Pumpkin Bagels

Pumpkin Bagels

October 6, 2014—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

They're round like pumpkins, and like a pumpkin after you've carved it into a jack o'lantern, they have holes in the middle. Unlike actual pumpkins, though, Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bagels taste really good slathered with cream cheese. Especially Trader Joe's Pumpkin Cream Cheese

We worked with our bagel supplier for months before we finally landed on the right combination of flavor and texture in these bagels. The result is a non-traditional bagel flavor made according to traditional methods—a true Trader Joe's original! In addition to the traditional wheat flour, the recipe here includes pumpkin flour, which is milled from fresh pumpkins, along with those "seasonal suspects" from the spice world: cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Slice, toast, and slather as you would any bagel. A schmear of Pumpkin Cream Cheese will do just fine. Or try a spoonful of Pumpkin Butter. Or both!

We're selling kosher certified Pumpkin Bagels in an 18 ounce bag of six bagels, for $2.49 (less than 42¢ a bagel!), for as long as we can keep them in stock. You'll find them in our bakery section.
