Sprouted Whole Wheat Fiber Bread

August 22, 2011 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

Trader Joe's Sprouted Whole Wheat Fiber Bread is made for us with organic sprouted wheat berries, along with naturally sweet dates and raisins.  It's higher in protein and lower in carbs than traditional breads made with refined flour, because sprouted wheat berries contain more protein and fiber than their non-sprouted counterparts.  Natural enzyme activity created during the sprouting process makes this bread easier to digest, too.  Sprouted wheat also retains that wonderfully nutty flavor that makes whole wheat such a favorite.  The addition of organic dates and raisins adds a complement of natural sweetness to the inherent nutty quality of the sprouted wheat.

Each slice of this hearty bread contains five grams of fiber and 16 grams of whole grains.  We're selling each 24 ounce loaf for $3.49*, a great price for this satisfying, nourishing bread.  Look for it on our fresh bakery racks.

*Each 24 ounce loaf is $3.69 in the East Coast, Midwest and Southeast. Size, price and recipes may vary by region as we strive to source our bakery items as close-to-the-source as possible to keep them as fresh and tasty as possible.
