Island Soyaki Sauce

Island Soyaki Sauce August 18, 2014—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Far from your average teriyaki sauce, Trader Joe's Island Soyaki features fresh garlic, fresh ginger and preservative-free soy sauce as its flavor base, with a jolt of pineapple to sweeten the pot, so to speak.  In addition to the freshness of the ingredients, where this sauce veers from the everyday is in the addition of sesame seeds to the mix.  The seeds add flavor and texture, setting Island Soyaki quite apart from the crowd.

Island Soyaki is an excellent marinade for beef, pork or chicken - its flavor is a true match for our Pork Tenderloin.  The sweet flavor of the sauce tastes great cooked over coals.  We use it as a stir-fry sauce for veggies and tofu, and as a dipping sauce for potstickers, too.  Some "teriyaki" sauces are heavy on thickeners and light on flavor.  Ours is texturally lighter than many others, yet knows no equal when it comes to flavor.

We're selling each 20 ounce bottle of Island Soyaki for $3.69, every day, a price that knows no equal when it comes to value.  You'll find it in our grocery aisle.
