Supreme is a creamy, smooth, soft-ripened cheese from the Burgundy region of France, where cheese making has been a part of the culture since the 16th century. Well known for it's rich yet delicate flavor profile, Supreme is a terrific alternative to brie for nearly any occasion. Supreme has a faint "fruity" smell and a bit of a bite. Unique to this particular cheese is a mild, nutty aftertaste, the result of adding fresh cream to the cheese during the cheesemaking process.
This is a terrific cheese to serve with fruits like grapes, figs, or apples. It's also an excellent dessert cheese for on a late summer evening.
