Hot & Sweet Cherry Peppers
June 9, 2014—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
Also known as pimentos, cherry peppers are so named because of their cherry-like appearance on the vine. Trader Joe's Hot & Sweet Cherry Peppers are just-a-bit-bigger-than-bite-size, bright red peppers are picked when they're ripe, tops and seeds removed, and packed in a water-sugar-vinegar-salt brine. The brine highlights the peppers' natural sweetness, and simultaneously, allows their moderate heat to shine. Try them in salads, on an antipasto platter, or as a simple snack. They're easy to stuff, taste terrific with all kinds of things stuffed inside - especially things like Crumbled Goat Cheese, Burrata, blue cheese, or feta. They add loads of flavor, and a nice splash of color, to omelets or burgers. We're selling each 16 ounce jar (8.1 ounces, drained weight) of Trader Joe's Hot & Sweet Cherry Peppers for $2.69, every day. You'll find them in our grocery aisle.
