Organic Animal Crackers

Organic Animal CrackersApril 28th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Animal crackers were first created in England at the end of the 19th century, their whimsical shapes meant to entertain children as they crunched.  The Marx brothers appropriated the name for their own comedic purposes in 1930, their slapstick gags meant to entertain the world as they watched.  And finally, in 2008, Trader Joe's Organic Animal Crackers hit the scene, and have, ever since, entertained the taste buds of all who enjoy wholesome, delicious, organic snacks.

Our Organic Animal Crackers are made just for us with top quality organic ingredients like brown rice syrup - we use it as a sweetener instead of the high fructose corn syrup you'll find in so many other animal crackers.  These little cookies have just a hint of lemon flavor, are low in fat and sodium, and each serving of 17 "animals" has only 120 calories - there are several animals shapes living in harmony in each tub, among them rhinos, elephants, camels, and hippos.

They come in a resealable tub that keeps them fresh - we think, though, that you'll be enjoying them enough that they won't last too long.  Each 16 ounce tub contains about 250 cookies (about 1.4 cents per cookie) for $3.49, every day.
