Note Number One: No avocados were harmed in the making of Trader José's Guacamame Spicy Edamame Dip. Note Number Two: Trader José's Guacamame Spicy Edamame Dip may well become your new go-to for "green things into which you like to dip tortilla chips".
Guacamame Spicy Edamame Dip is an East meets West combination of flavors that makes you think it's avocado, but is actually edamame. It's a blend of edamame (soy beans) and tofu, with tomatoes, pickled jalapeño peppers, onion, and spices like garlic, cilantro, and cumin. The ingredients are blended to a smooth, spreadable, dippable consistency, ideal for chips, crackers, crudités, sandwiches, or wraps. Our tasting panel was taken with how much this reminded them of guacamole, and needed to be reminded several times that there was no avocado in the recipe. They were also taken with Guacamame's nutritional profile. With 40% fewer calories and 70% less fat than regular guacamole, this is a big winner on the nutrition scale.
We're selling Guacamame Spicy Edamame Dip in a 12 ounce package for $2.99. You'll find it in our refrigerated case.
