Fresh Veggie Tray

August 22, 2011 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

This is a newly-revamped version of a fresh vegetable platter we used to carry.  Over time, it occurred to us that a more portable, functional presentation would make it a more practical option, and that including a heavy dressing might not be the best way to complement this eminently nutritious assortment.  So, please join us in welcoming the new, improved Trader Joe's Fresh Vegetable Tray (this sentence works best when said aloud in a cheesy-announcer voice).

Inside each square-ish tray (recyclable, by the way) you'll find four compartments, each filled with washed, ready-to-eat fresh vegetables – grape tomatoes, baby-cut carrots, sugar snap peas and jicama.  You can enjoy the crunch and farm-fresh flavors without any adornment, or you can add your favorite dressing or dip.  You could even toss all the veggies on a roasting pan, drizzle with a bit of olive oil & balsamic vinegar and roast them in your oven.  We're selling each 14 ounce Fresh Vegetable Tray for $2.99, every day.
