Petite Cocoa Batons

February 3rd—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

It's not every cookie that can motivate you to conduct your own (imaginary) orchestra.  Trader Joe's Petite Cocoa Batons have that power.  These are crispy, delicate, chocolate wafer cookies, shaped like mini batons and filled with a delightfully rich, not-too-sweet cocoa cream.  They're excellent with coffee or tea or hot cocoa.  We like them atop ice cream - crumbled or whole, depending on our mood - and even in a bowl, with milk, as a breakfast cereal-type treat.  We ask that you trust us on this last one - we wouldn't lead you astray.

So where does the orchestra-conducting impulse come in?  We did mention these are called Petite Cocoa Batons, right?  They'll make your taste buds sing, which may in turn make your baton-wielding fingers move rhythmically, and before you know it, you'll be conducting your own (imaginary) orchestra.  It could happen.  Especially when you see our price of only $1.49 for each five ounce box (the same price we've had since 2010, by the way).  What's that?  Oh yes, we're playing your song…
