Toasted Oatmeal Flakes

February 3rd—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Perhaps you've had corn flakes for breakfast.  Or those other flakes made with wheat that end with "ies".  Perhaps they were an integral part of your childhood.  Perhaps (stay with us here) another staple of breakfasts past was oatmeal.  Wouldn't it be sweet to combine those two concepts into one totally excellent breakfast cereal?  It would.  It is. We know.  Because we did.

Trader Joe's Toasted Oatmeal Flakes are made with whole grain rolled oats and whole grain wheat.  A blend of sugar, honey, and molasses adds sweetness.  They're not too sweet, though, with only seven grams of sugar per serving.  What they are, however, is a good source of fiber, an excellent source of six B vitamins, low in fat, and undeniably delicious.  Like any breakfast cereal worth its grain, Toasted Oatmeal Flakes are delightful with cold milk and fresh berries or banana slices for breakfast, and they're just sweet enough to make a super-tasty, super-easy, super-portable (in a little baggie) snack, as well.

We're selling each 16 ounce box of Toasted Oatmeal Flakes for $2.69, every day.  You'll find them in our cereal aisle.
