Coconut Cranberry Granola

February 3rd—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

To paraphrase the ancients, "We're cuckoo for coconuts!"  Fresh or dried, just their oil or their "meat" baked into treats; coconuts bring us joy, happiness, and a tiny taste of the tropics.  Imagine our excitement, then, at the dawn of the new age of cereal, a new cereal order, if you will - Trader Joe's Coconut Cranberry Granola

Whole rolled oats, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds - toasted with coconut oil and lightly sweetened with agave syrup - form the base for this crunchy, crave-able granola.  The coconut oil imparts just a hint of tropical temptation.  That temptation is fully realized with the addition of generous amounts of shaved, dried coconut pieces.  Slightly sweet, tantalizingly tart dried cranberries add a burst of bright, fruity flavor, and a dash of cinnamon contributes a soupçon of warm spice that brings all the tastes together.  Combine Coconut Cranberry Granola with milk (or coconut milk!), mix with yogurt, enjoy as a snack, or sprinkle atop a bowl of chocolate ice cream or mango sorbet.  No matter how you serve it, you'll enjoy our everyday price of $2.49 for each 16 ounce box.  You'll find it in our cereal section.
