Ancient Grain Pizza

Even a cursory glance at the freezer case at Trader Joe's reveals our passion for pizza. We've heard suggestions that our pizza desire is really an obsession, but in truth, it's pure passion - passion for finding the best tasting foods and offering them to you at the best prices.  It just so happens that whenever we come up with a new pizza to tempt you, you react with as much passion as we do.  And of course, this gives us the idea that you like pizza as much as we do, and the cycle continues.  This is a good thing, no?

One of the newest offerings in the pizza section of our freezers is Trader Joe’' Ancient Grain Pizza with Asparagus & Cherry Tomatoes.  It's no ordinary pizza.  (Then again, we think all of our pizzas are extraordinary - chalk it up to passion again.)  This one features a complex, slightly nutty crust made with wheat flour and a blend of ancient grains - einkorn, emmer, and spelt - and seeds - millet, flax, and sunflower.  It's a hearty, rustic pie topped with a light, tomato basil sauce and three kinds of cheese

(Provolone, Parmesan, and Maasda), with the captivatingly colorful additions of asparagus and cherry tomatoes.  

We're selling each 13 ounce pizza (enough to share if you add a side salad) for $4.49, everyday.  You'll find it, of course, in our freezers.
