TJ's Grand Reserve Meritage

January 8th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

We've reserved the Grand Reserve wine label for very special wines that are incredible values and truly represent the best attributes of their appellation.  This bold & full-bodied wine is intense and juicy, dry and approachable -- the very characteristics you'd hope to find in a big red blend from Rutherford, a small AVA in the Napa Valley, between Oakville & St. Helena.

Meritage (rhymes with "heritage") is a distinctly American blend of Bordeaux varietals -- in this case Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot & Malbec.  Trader Joe's Grand Reserve Meritage Rutherford 2010 is a deep, dark red hue, bursting with vibrant cherry, ripe plum and currant notes, undertones of vanilla & oak, and a very long, lingering finish.   Aged in oak barrels for 24 months, it's a complex & rewarding wine.  Going to a holiday party?  Bringing along a bottle of this robust Meritage will no doubt make you one of the evening's favored guests.

TJ's Grand Reserve Meritage Rutherford 2010 is available exclusively at Trader Joe's.  We're selling each 750ml bottle for $12.99.  As with all of our Grand Reserve wines, our supplies are limited, and when it's gone, it's gone.

TJ's Grand Reserve Meritage is currently available in Trader Joe's stores where wine is sold (not available in ME), and it is $12.99. Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff. (If we could, we would.)
