Reduced Guilt Skinny Fries

August 22, 2011 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

What's the skinny on these crisps?  They're not potato chips, and they're not potato sticks.  While they definitely pack the crunch created by those snacking staples, what separates them from that pack is their ability to provide so much crunch with so little fat.

Trader Joe's Reduced Guilt Skinny Fries are French fry-shaped slices of potato that are cooked in an innovative hot-air oven, so they're not technically baked or fried.  They literally cook in mid-air (within the oven) as they pass through the specially engineered appliance.  The end result is potato crisps that have only two grams of fat in each serving (1/3 of a bag = 110 calories), while delivering the full potato flavor and satisfying crunch of snacks with significantly more fat and calories.  Even better, we deliver each three ounce bag for the excellent everyday value of $1.99.  You'll find them in our snack section.
