Brioche Toasts

January 8th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Brioche is a rich French bread that gets its rich flavor and puffy texture from adding eggs and butter in the bread dough.  These start with brioche which is sliced, then baked to a crunchy, cracker-like consistency to create Trader Joe's Brioche Toasts, the best thing since sliced bread.  (Well, technically, we suppose, they are sliced bread.)

Brioche Toasts are just perfect for holiday entertaining.  Our Brioche Toasts are a bit larger than Mini Toasts or what you'll find in our Cracker Assortment, making them really stand out on a party platter.  They're excellent carriers for every cheese we can imagine, make dynamic dippers, shine with a schmear of Fig Butter, and can even be used as a vehicle for deli meats or Copper River Sockeye Salmon.  In France, they're typically eaten at breakfast time with a bit of butter and jam -- we're in full agreement with the French on this idea.

We're selling each 5.26 ounce package of about 18 Brioche Toasts for $1.99, a terrific value, every day.  You'll find them in our cracker section.
