Chicken Taquitos

January 8th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Though literally trasnalted to "small taco", taquitos are actually "rolled tacos" with a corn tortilla shell.  (If a flour tortilla is used, they are traditionally called flautas.)   Trader José's Chicken Taquitos, which feature the customary corn tortilla, are, really big taquitos.  You could say they're Taquitos Grandes -- if you were so inclined.  And though that translation may be literally confusing (big little tacos), in practice, these are so delicious that any confusion is quickly replaced with unadulterated happiness.

Trader José's Chicken Taquitos are handmade with perfectly seasoned, shredded and chunked chicken.  These Taquitos are fully cooked and can be heated in a microwave, conventional oven or on the stove top -- most folks prefer them crispy, and they'll be less crispy in the microwave, so we definitely recommend the oven or stove top cooking for best results.  Heat them to make an easy weeknight dinner with a simple salad, or serve as hors d'oeuvres with dipping bowls filled with your favorite salsa, guacamole and Sour Cream.  We're selling each 18 ounce package of 10 handcrafted Trader José's Chicken Taquitos for $3.99.  You'll find them in our freezers.
