Cranberry & Chocolate Rolls

January 8th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

We've figured out a way to make it acceptable to have chocolate for dinner!  And really, we didn’t even have to work too hard to make it happen.  We tasted these rolls at a work-related gathering last Spring, and set about bringing them to our bakery section immediately thereafter.  Just in time for holiday meals, we've introduced Trader Joe's Cranberry & Chocolate Rolls, rustic rolls with a toothy crust and chewy crumb -- they also happen to be loaded with chunks of dark chocolate and tart cranberries.

You'd be mistaken, though, if you assumed these rolls were sweet just because they contain chocolate.  They're not.  The dough is on the savory side, the cranberries contribute a categorically tart tang, and the dark chocolate is slightly bitter, with just a hint of sweetness.  Combined, these flavors meld into dinner rolls unlike any you've ever served.  And we recommend you serve them often -- for big holiday dinners and simple school-night suppers.  We even recommend them for breakfast or lunch, if you're so inclined.  After all, great taste is never beholden to a clock.

We're selling each 14 ounce bag of four Cranberry & Chocolate Rolls for $3.49.  You'll find them in our bakery section.
