All Natural, Uncured All Beef Hot Dogs

May 2, 2011 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.

For different people, springtime conjures different images.  We'll be honest – for us, every season conjures up images of food, and spring is no exception to this rule.  But which foods are we craving in springtime?  Number one pick has to be hot dogs – ball games, picnics, the first occasions to cook outside after a long winter… Yep, springtime says hot dogs just as sure as winter says ice cream (we know we're not the only ones who enjoy ice cream in winter).

Back to the dogs.  We're really big fans of hot dogs around here, but we never liked all the additives, preservatives and fillers that make up most hot dogs.  So we developed our Uncured Hot Dogs.  They're made with 100% beef, with no casing, no fillers, no preservatives, no MSG and no added nitrates or nitrites (except for the naturally occurring nitrates in celery juice and sea salt).  Better still, the beef used to make these franks is from cattle raised on a vegetarian diet, without any added hormones or antibiotics.  We see these pups as proof that great tasting hot dogs can, in fact, be 100% natural.

Trader Joe's All Natural Uncured All Beef Hot Dogs are also proof that all natural hot dogs need not be expensive.  We're selling each 16 ounce package of eight fully cooked Uncured All Beef Hot Dogs for the terrific price of $3.99, every day – that's less than 50¢ a dog!
