Dal MakhniMadras Lentil (as we call them) are aromatic, richly-textured curried lentils. While widely adored, their preparation is complex, so they're often relegated to special occasions only. We don't believe in limiting edible enjoyment, so we set out to create Madras Lentils that can be celebrated every day! We carried the culinary challenge to India, where we discovered experts in dal, who are also innovators in ready-to-eat, shelf stable food. Our Indian Fare Madras Lentils follow an authentic recipe using the finest, fresh ingredients: lentils, red kidney beans, tomatoes, onion, cream, butter, sunflower oil, ginger, red chilies and cumin. The rich, chili-like stew is cooked in special pouches that protect its integrity and make it easy to heat in the microwave or on the stovetop. At $1.99 for each 10 ounce package, our Madras Lentil are an everyday treasure.
