The Flavors of España
Eastern Spain's province of Valencia is known for its cuisine, specifically its paella, a rice dish known around the world for its abundant flavors. To make Trader Joe's Chicken Valencia, we've combined the same kind of flavorful rice that's used to make paella with tender white chicken meat, and created an entrée that you just need to heat to enjoy.
Chicken Valencia begins with a bed of perfectly cooked long grain white rice that's infused with the flavors of sweet yellow peppers, roasted garlic, Spanish paprika, and sweet petite peas. Atop the rice are strips of boneless, skinless chicken breast meat that are delicately seasoned and grilled over an open flame. Dressing the chicken is a sauce of roasted red peppers, Spanish olives, and capers, with a sprinkling of Manchego cheese accenting the finish. The flavors mingle marvelously, making this a light-yet-satisfying meal. Combine it with a salad and a loaf of bread and there's plenty for two, or make it a complete meal and you might want to enjoy it all by yourself.
