There's something about Italian-style cheeses that makes us, well, hungry. It doesn't matter which cheese we bring to mind; we always seem to come up with thoughts of more food. Provolone conjures thoughts of Prosciutto. Parmesan makes us dream of pasta. You get the picture. And you can imagine how we get around Trader Joe's Quattro Formaggio Shredded Cheese Blend, a creative combination of Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Mild Provolone.
These are four of our favorite Italian-style cheeses, made for us in Wisconsin, using milk from cows not treated with rBST. Making a pizza? Opt out of traditional mozzarella in favor of this more robust blend. Topping a salad or a bowl of soup? This mélange is a divine addition. And lasagna made with not one shredded cheese, but four? That's a winner from the get-go. Also a winner is our price of $4.99 for each resealable, 12 ounce bag. Is anybody else hungry?
