Working with a certified WisconsinCheddar & Gruyere Mélange Master Cheesemaker, we've come up with a cheese that combines the flavor of Cheddar with the creamy texture and meltability of Gruyere.  Quite creatively, we've named it Trader Joe's Cheddar & Gruyere Mélange.

This is a mild, buttery cheese with a hint of nuttiness and a sweet finish. It's crafted with milk collected from dairies in northwestern Wisconsin, where rolling hills and lush pastures produce naturally sweet, flavorful milk, which in turn produce incredibly flavorful cheese—like this one. If you're looking for a cheese that's a little different, yet features qualities you know you like, Cheddar & Gruyere Mélange is right up your alley. Cube it and serve it on a cheese tray. Shred it and sprinkle it atop steamed veggies or pasta. Slice it and feature it atop a burger or in a sandwich—it works in both hot and cold sandwiches, and will reveal slightly different flavors depending on which you choose.
