Spicy Black Bean Dip

When we say classic, we mean it! We've been selling Trader Joe’s Spicy Black Bean Dip since 1989. At the time, there really weren't any other fat free bean dips on the market. Sure, you could easily find gelatinous, oily bean dips in a can. We didn't like those so much. Or at all, really. So we worked with a trusted supplier to create a bean dip that focused on flavor, rather than fat. They made a dip for us using freshly cooked and pureed black beans, onions, fresh jalapeños and spices. It was good.  Twenty-three years later, it's still good, so we're still selling it.

You can, of course, use our Spicy Black Bean Dip as a dip for chips or veggies. It also makes an impressive filling for tacos or burritos, and can be served warm or cold. It's a great value at $1.69 for each 12 ounce jar, and all these years later, you'll find it only at your neighborhood Trader Joe's. It's in our grocery aisle.
