Long a staple of Latin American, Cajun and Creole cuisines, black beans are now commonly found in American pantries as well. At Trader Joe's, we sell more beans than you can shake a pole at, and our Organic Black Beans are at the top of that list.
Trader Joe's Organic Black Beans are grown on organic farms in the American heartland and packed just for us in Payette, Idaho.
The beans are cooked to their ideal consistency—a bit firm on the outside, meaty on the inside. You can heat the beans and eat them as a side dish with Chicken Asada, Pork Tenderloin or Arctic Char. Or you can use them to make black bean soup. You can also rinse, drain and add them to salsas or salads. They're versatile, packed with protein and fiber, loaded with flavor, and priced right at $1.19 for each 15 ounce can. You'll find them in our grocery aisle.
