If the dinnertime routine has you a little bored, perhaps the time has come for taco night in your house. Given our Southern California roots, it shouldn't be surprising that we take Mexican-inspired cuisine and all of its incarnations and permutations seriously. When it's taco time, we know there are two diametrically opposed sides: soft and crunchy. We think there's room for both varieties, and we have myriad soft tortillas (including our Flour Tortillas), as well as our very own crunchy Taco Shells.
Trader José's Taco Shells are kosher and gluten free, made with organic, stoneground yellow corn, expeller pressed oil, and a trace of lime. That's it. We figured you'd season everything you put inside, so we were really going for crunchy corn for the outside. They're super crunchy, and they're big enough to hold lots of "stuff". We like them best when warmed in a 425º oven for just a couple of minutes. We also like that you can pick up a 5.5 ounce box of 12 Taco Shells for $1.99, every day.
