Trader Joe's Ahi Tuna Steaks are ideal for your summer's-almost-over, gotta-get-in-a-few-good-cookouts-before-fall-comes dinners. These steaks are from Ahi (Yellowfin) Tuna averaging about 30kg (that’s about 65 pounds), fished in the cold Atlantic waters off the coast of Spain. The fish are caught on two boats from a single six-vessel fleet - we choose the best of the catch from each of the two boats - then cleaned, processed, and frozen aboard the vessel.
Trader Joe's Ahi Tuna Steaks can be grilled to great result with little adornment. They're also quite delicious if you marinate for a couple of hours in our Island Soyaki Sauce. Serve simply with a salad & baguette, and you'll have an impressive dinner with an impressive pedigree, for the impressive price of $8.99 a pound (they come in random weight packages of about a pound).
