With about 9,000 years of historical human enjoyment behind them, pistachios have earned monikers like the "smiling nut" and the "happy nut" in some languages. Trader Joe's Salt & Pepper Pistachios will surely leave you both smiling and happy.
Our Salt & Pepper Pistachios hail from California, where pistachios were first introduced to gardeners in the mid 19th century. Over the next century and a half, pistachios evolved from a simple garden plant to one of the state's most important agricultural crops - today, California is one of the world's largest pistachio producers. At Trader Joe's, we've long sold a variety of pistachios - raw and roasted, in-shell and shelled, salted and bare. Only recently, though, have we experimented with flavors beyond simple salt. Salt & Pepper Pistachios are lightly roasted, shelled pistachios dusted with sprinkling of salt & pepper that gives these gleeful gems a positively provocative flavor profile. You'll be happy, smiling, and wondering why on earth it took us 9,000 years to put these flavors together.
We're selling each 13 ounce bag of Trader Joe's Salt & Pepper Pistachios for $7.49. You'll find them in our nut & dried fruit section.
