April 28th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
Similar to our iconic Fruit Floes, but featuring multiple fruit layers in every bar, Trader Joe's Fruit Frenzy Bars are colorful, flavorful, and just a bit fanciful. The inspiration for these multi-colored, multi-flavored bars came from similar bars we encountered in Europe, and they're made exclusively for Trader Joe's. Now, just in time for the warmest weather of the year, they've inspired a sibling, aptly named Trader Joe's Fruit Frenzy Bars II.
Fruit Frenzy Bars II are identical in structure to their senior siblings. Each bar, on a stick, features "blocks" of three distinct flavors. Each flavor is quick frozen individually - when the first flavor freezes, the second is dropped in until it freezes, and the third is added on top and allowed to freeze. When we say "quick frozen" we really do mean "quick". The entire process takes about 15 minutes! The difference between the two Fruit Frenzy iterations is their flavor/color makeup. Fruit Frenzy II bars have a layer of purple/grape at the bottom, with pale orange/tangerine in the middle, leading to a dark orange/Italian blood orange at the top. Some tart, some sweet, some sweet-tart.
Fruit Frenzy Bars II are sure to set off a frenzy in the freezers - they are particularly hard to resist on a very hot day. Our price of $1.99 for each 16 fluid ounce box of four bars is particularly hard to resist any day at all. You'll find them in our freezers.
